Description: The South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) wishes to appoint a competent service provider to source, supply and install window blinds at the Durban office situated at 02 Samora Machel Street, Durban. The scope of work/terms of reference shall include, but not limited to the source, supply, and installation of sunshade roller blind and block-out roller blinds for the Durban office windows, as stated: • 5th floor, qty: 48, • 6th floor, qty: 52, • Total: 100, • The premises consist of two (2) floors, fifth (5th) and sixth (6th) floor, situated at Samora House, Durban, • Requirement: Fifth (5th) floor = 48 windows and Sixth (6th) Floor = 52 windows: different sizes (Measurements to be issued and confirmed at the compulsory briefing), • The size of the building is approximately 1,130m². Special conditions: • Based on the desk positions on certain windows requires block out and cut out the glare on a screen where the sun is intense, other areas the sunshade is fine as it cuts out a bit of the light, • Blinds needs to be installed on ceiling and not on the aluminium frame of the facade/window, • A sample of the exact (as demonstrated at the site briefing) sunshade material and blackout material must be provided and it should be at least piece must not be less than 300mm by 300mm, • The colour must be grey black for the sunshade and grey for the blackout, this is the standard approved colour and that other colours would not be considered, • The mechanism to operate the blinds (chain and bracket) is to be black in colour. The U.S. Consulate Cape Town requires the replacement of damaged granite façade on the base of the Consulate Buildings located at 2 Reddam Road, Westlake, Tokai. The work entails removal of all damaged granite cladding and replacing this with new granite cladding that matches as close as possible to the existing granite cladding in thickness, colour and texture. The contractor shall also make allowance for sealing the gaps in between the existing and replaced granite cladding with a Sikaflex sealant that matches the colour of the surrounding sealant. The U.S. Consulate General in Johannesburg hereby invites interested and qualified service providers for the following: Maintenance and repair of the service CAC and utility building facade at the US Consulate General Johannesburg. The proposed work includes painting, maintenance, and repairs of the SCAC & UTL, stucco plaster finished walls, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Facade Access: Mobile man-lifts from grade or scaffolding from grade; 2. Install temporary protection on the lower SCAC & UTL finishes, roof surfaces, doors/windows, and grounds at base of facades; 3. Inspect plaster damages, cracks, and paneled areas by mechanical sounding of the plaster to confirm attachment to the concrete substructure; 4. Inspect control/reveal joints, perimeter metals, and through-plaster penetration flashings for damages; 5. Remove loose, cracked, and damaged plaster. "V" cut cracks to sound material; 6. Remove by saw-cuts loose, damaged, corroded metal control/revel joints. Replace metal control/revel joints to match original alignment; 7. Clean/pressure wash plaster wall areas and allow to dry. Clean/pressure wash any lower windows, doors, and facade areas affected by work above; 8. Clean/Pressure wash exterior canopy fascia, soffit, interiors, and ceiling areas and allow to dry; 9. Perform repairs where the multi-layer plaster has been damaged and allow to fully cure. Perform a water-spray curing process; 10. Perform paint color mock-up areas before applying final primer and finish paint on plaster walls; 11. Remove and replace existing backer rod and sealant in stone joints, plaster joints, between stone and plaster, and between stone or plaster and window/door - Steel/aluminum frames. Include replacement of existing backer rod and sealant in joints of existing stone copings; 12. Paint miscellaneous facade related ferrous metals; 13.
