Bids are hereby invited for engine overhaul and body refurbishment of Isuzu LDV. Specifications: Refurbishing of all body parts and panel beating: Body repairs: Cab, load bin and chassis repairs: • High pressure cleans the entire chassis, removes all rust and spray paint with at least two coats of black edge primer and finishes off with chassis black; • Remove all rust from the vehicle cab and repaint with two coats of primer; • Paint the entire vehicle and load bin with 2k white paint, at least two coats; • The interior of the load bin must be rubberized with black rubber; • Re-spray all four rims with original manufactures silver paint; • Re-spray the ladder brackets with cold galvanizing paint; • Fit amber LED rotating light on the roof of the vehicle; • Fir three white working LED lights on the vehicle, one on the left and one on the right-hand side facing the rear of the vehicle for night work; • Fir new decal kit as per manufacturers specifications; • Repair the seats and re-upholster with black synthetic leather; • Entire cab of vehicle to be vale cleaned on the inside, roof lining to be removed and recovered; • Inner side panels on the left and right door to be cleaned; • All metal brake pipes to be checked and replaced if damaged; • New mud flaps to be fitted to the vehicle front and rear; • All door rubbers to be replaced with new rubbers; • New floor carpets to be fitted to the vehicle; • Replace clutch, brake pedal and accelerator rubbers; • Fit new number plate front and rear; • Wrap around bull bar to be fitted to the front of the vehicle; • Canopy to be polished. Branding: • The vehicle must be branded to match the current branding of the Electro-mechanical section. Mechanical repairs to engine of Isuzu LDV: • Engine to be removed, chemically cleaned and stripped completely; • All injectors to be reconditioned; • Check and balance prop shaft, replace centre bearing, replace universal joints; • Check and if damaged replace all gearbox and engine mountings; • Aircon to be re-gas. New parts to be installed and old parts to be returned to Municipal Workshop: • New pistons and rings; • All bearings to be replaced with new bearings; • Replace valves and valve guides: intake and exhaust; • Fit new welch plugs; • Install a new radiator on the vehicle; • Fit new water pump and thermostat; • Replace all radiator hoses and fit new waterpipe clamps; • Install new oil pump; • Supply new cylinder head bolts; • Full gasket set; • Replace all service filters and oils; • Supply a new crank; • Fit new clutch and pressure plate, release bearing, skim fly wheel. Engineering work to be done: • Cylinder head to be pressure tested and overhauled completely; • Small end bushes to be replaced and conrods resized; • Engine block to be machined; • Skim cylinder head; • Reface valve seats.
