Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Locksmith contract for the period of 3 years. Scope of work: - The services of locksmith are required in case of emergency, replacement of faulty locks, opening of locks, removing/opening of strong safes (where required), opening/removing of fire arm safes and cutting of spare keys and the changing of electronic key codes or when upgrade on current locking system is required. All locks shall always be of good quality and SABS approved; - The Department has different offices which are locked by different type of locks, on time to times there are requests to open and cut the spare keys or to open and change the lock; - Service providers have to indicate the price for the cutting of keys; - Service providers have to indicate an estimated cost of removing and replacing the whole locking mechanism; - When there is a request to remove safes from office to another office an indication by departmental official will be done and the locksmith should indicate the costs before the actual work is done; - The call out for locksmith services will only be done by Security Services Directorate.
