Re-Advertisement: Amendment to closing date. Bids are hereby invited for the appointment of a service provider to assist the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) with the Development of the Leopard Conservation Strategy for the Management of Leopards in South Africa, conduct a situational analysis that will inform the development of a Draft Biodiversity Management Plan for Leopards for a period of twenty-four (24) months. Scope: The appointed service provider/s will undertake the following: - The service provider/s shall submit an inception report with milestones, time frames, and budget allocation before the work can commence that is inclusive of a project management plan; - The service provider/s will conduct and submit a comprehensive literature review report on all the work considered on leopard conservation, management and use; - The service provider/s will develop and submit a stakeholder mapping report and subsequent stakeholder consultation/engagement report; - The service provider/s will develop the Leopard Conservation Strategy considering all legislative and non-legislative tools, guidelines or management plans, knowledge systems and techniques where applicable; - The service provider/s will conduct a Situational Analysis that will inform and guide the development of a draft BMP for leopards; and - The service provider/s will develop a draft Biodiversity Management plan for leopards considering all relevant tools and guidelines.
