A service provider is required to undertake the removal of sand from Umthwalume, Ifafa, Pennington, Preston and Park Rynie tidal pools: - Removal of the sand from the tidal pool must be done using an excavator, - The works must be done during a low spring tide, - The sand must be removed from the depth of the tidal pool until the concrete surface is reached, - Sand must be removed from the tidal pool and placed 10-20 metres away from each tidal pool, - The removed sand must be placed on the left hand side of each tidal pool facing seawards, - The removed sand must be flattened and not left in heaps or stockpiles, - Machinery access should not damage any infrastructure and or sand dune vegetation, - Affected areas must be rehabilitated upon completion of the works by the service provider at own cost.
