Formal price quotations are hereby invited for appointment of a service provider to conduct landfill management audit as per specifications. Scope: The preliminary scope of work will include the following: • Review the adequacy and effectiveness of controls within landfill operations; • Review compliance with relevant laws and regulation, policy and procedures, best practices regarding landfill operations; • Review the adequacy and effectiveness of the landfill strategy; • Review controls regarding landfill revenue to ensure accuracy and completeness; • Review the adequacy and effectiveness of the landfill structure; • Follow up on landfill compliance audit conducted by an expert for year-end audit purposes; • Review the weighbridge processes and determine if these are adequate and effective; • Review the adequacy and effectiveness of management of weighbridge facilities. • Review the policies and procedures regarding weighbridge; • Evaluate the IT processes and financial reconciliations within the weighbridge system; • Test the implementation of procedures and determine compliance; • Review the physical security of landfills and determine if controls are in place; • Review risk management system and process relating to landfill operations; • Follow up audit findings raised in the previous financial year.
