Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Supply and commissioning of 10 (ten) 7 (seven) ton forklifts on a 4 (four) months full maintenance lease for Transnet SOC Ltd operating as Transnet Port Terminals at the Port Elizabeth Break Bulk Terminal for a period of 4 (four) months as per specifications. Scope: • Vessel loading stage: Receive manganese cargo by road truck in metal skips. The skips are lifted by vessel gear and product discharged in vessel hold. Vessel gantry places the empty bin on the quayside; • Loading of empty skips: A forklift picks up the empty bin from the quayside, positions, and places it on the road truck trailer. The truck leaves to the back of ports facility. TPT employees operates the forklifts; • Dimensions of empty skip: - Length: 6 meters; - Width: 2, 4 meters; - Height: 1, 36 meters; - Weight: 2350 kg.
