Load Testing to ensure that the crane system can handle its rated load safely: • Load the crane with weights equivalent to its maximum rated load; • Run the crane through its full range of motion (up and down) while monitoring performance; • Check for any abnormal behaviour, noise, or stress on components; • Frequency: Load tests should be conducted annually or as specified by regulations; • Qualified Inspectors (LMI): Only qualified inspectors should perform load test; • Documentation: Share and Maintain records of load test results for compliance and safety purposes. Logistics Services have depots at the following areas: • Johannesburg Rosherville Depot; • Polokwane Depot; • Durban Depot; • Middelburg (Duvha Power Station); • Medupi; • Majority of vehicles are operating in Johannesburg, hence the supplier must have atleast 2 premises that are not more than 40km far from the Johannesburg Depot.
