Quotations are hereby invited for the installation of a generator monitoring system at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) Durban and Midland Campus. The installation scope of works for the backup generator 4G Communication Gateway Module monitoring system shall involve, but not limited to the following: • The service provider shall conduct a pre-Installation assessment, which shall involve site visit to assess the location and requirements for installing the backup generator monitoring system. • Reviewal of the electrical schematics and specifications of the existing backup generator system. • Develop a detailed plan for the installation, including equipment placement, wiring diagrams, and network connectivity. • Prepare necessary components such as sensors, control panels, wiring, communication devices, and monitoring software. • The service provider shall ensure that all equipment meets relevant standards and specifications. • Install and mount control panels, sensors, and other hardware components in suitable locations. • Wire the components according to the wiring diagrams and manufacturer"s instructions. • Ensure proper grounding and electrical safety measures are implemented. • Configure network connections for data transmission and remote monitoring. • Set up communication protocols and security measures to protect data integrity. • Install monitoring software on designated computers or servers. • Integrate the 4G communication gateway module with the backup generator system and other monitoring equipment. • Configure network settings, including APN, IP addresses, and communication protocols, for seamless operation. • Conduct thorough testing to ensure connectivity and functionality. Test communication between hardware components and the monitoring software. • Integrate the backup generator monitoring system with any existing monitoring or management systems. • Conduct thorough testing of the entire system to ensure proper functionality. • Verify sensor accuracy and data reporting capabilities. • Provide training to facility personnel on how to operate the monitoring system. • Create user manuals and documentation outlining system operation, troubleshooting procedures, and maintenance requirements. • Conduct a final inspection of the installed system to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations. • Hand over the backup generator monitoring system to the DUT maintenance personnel. Bids are hereby invited for the following: Appointment of a professional service provider to roll-out the Sustainable Infrastructure Development and Financial Facility Programme (SIDAFF) in the Western Cape Province until 31 March 2026. Specifications: Phase 1 of the SIDAFF programme was completed which aimed to: - Create an enabling environment for Infrastructure financing through the SIDAFF programme; - Consolidate a pipeline of projects and programmes into one database; - Identify the most catalytic projects and programmes, and - Enable a process to take these prioritised projects and programmes from feasibility to bankability; Phase 2 of the SIDAFF programme is underway which entails the following deliverables: - Project management and administration (Project Management Committee, Steering Committee, Project meetings, Synergies with other provincial programmes); - Repeat phase - shortlisting/evaluations for further 20 projects; - Develop a grant framework to take projects from feasibility to bankability; - Develop alternative financing models/mechanisms for financing implementation of projects (cluster of projects); - Operationalisation of the Grant Facility by 1. Raising grant funding; 2. Managing the facility" 3. Disbursing the funds towards project preparation by appointing professional service providers to take the projects from feasibility to bankability. The main objectives of the appointment of the professional service provider is to produce a pipeline of bankable projects; produce Investor Packs to each of the beneficiary municipalities that the municipality will use to commence procurement of the capital to finance the implementation of the same projects: expand on the current financing modality, provide both project management and transaction advisory services during the setting up and operation of the municipal entity. Scope of Work: This bid comprises of the following deliverables under the roll-out of the SIDAFF programme: - Identification of more catalytic projects and/or programmes in the following sectors: 1. Water and Wastewater; 2. Solid waste management; 3. Energy: 4. Roads and stormwater; 5. Public Transport: - Operate and manage the established Grant Facility; - Operationalise the current Financing Modality; - Expand the existing Financing Modality to include smaller, poor, and rural municipalities who are creditworthy; - Develop a methodology to enable DFis to transform the non-creditworthy municipalities to become creditworthy; - Operationalise the expanded Financing Modalities.
