Scope of work: Collection and Transportation: • Scheduled collection services; • Safe and secure transportation of e-waste to recycling facilities. Recycling and Disposal: • Environmentally sound recycling of electronic components; • Adherence to local and international e-waste recycling standards. Proof of Destruction or Sanitation of Hard Drives: • Secure destruction or sanitation of all hard drives; • Provision of certificates or proof of destruction/sanitation for all hard drives processed. Collection areas: SABS Offices are situated nationwide in the following areas: • Cape Town; • Richards Bay; • East London; • Gauteng (Groenkloof and Olifantsfontein); • Secunda; • Newcastle; • Port Elizabeth; • Durban. Equipment to be recycled includes the following: • Desktop computers, including CPUs, hard drives, RAM, etc; • Laptops; • Computer Monitors; • Telephones; • Printers and Copiers; • Tablets; • Computer and Printer cabling; • Switches; • Other IT related items.
