Scope: The Basic Computer Course is a Microsoft package such as MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint will aim to achieve the following: • Navigate the operating system and start applications; • Perform basic functions of file management, create and name folders; rename, move, or copy folders; • Perform basic functions in a word processor and spreadsheet; • Manage print settings and print documents; • Use a web browser to navigate the Internet; • Utilize and understand the basic features of an email software application; • Troubleshoot and fix basic computer hardware and software issues; • Create professional quality word processing documents using current MS Word software features; • Create professional quality spreadsheets and charts using current MS Excel software features; • Create professional quality presentations using current MS PowerPoint software features; • Create files that involve integration of MS Word, Excel, Access; • The training must be accredited by a SETA.
